IPR PhD Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc. in Physics / Engineering Physics / Applied Physics with minimum 60% marks.
  • Candidates with BS/B.Sc. (4-year program) in Physics with minimum 75% can also apply.
  • Candidates must have studied Mathematics and Physics at undergraduate level.
  • Final year M.Sc. students (2025 batch) are also eligible.
• National Level Exam Qualification (any one):
  • GATE in Physics (PH) valid for 2023 / 2024 / 2025.
  • CSIR-UGC JRF-NET in Physical Sciences (PHY) – Dec 2024/Jan 2025 or June 2024/Aug-Sep 2024.
• Age Limit: Not more than 26 years as on 01 August 2025 (Born on or after 01/08/1999)
  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwD: 10 years

IPR PhD Admission 2025 Selection Process

1. Shortlisting based on eligibility and national level exam scores.
2. Personal Interview (PI) at IPR, Gandhinagar.
3. Final selection will be based on interview performance.
4. To and Fro sleeper class rail fare will be reimbursed for interview appearance.

IPR PhD Admission 2025 Fellowship & Facilities

• Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month (1st & 2nd year), ₹42,000/- (3rd–5th year)
• Book Grant: ₹60,000/- annually
• HRA: As per rules (if hostel not availed)
• Medical facility: At nominal charge
• Hostel: Limited seats available (priority for women and PwD candidates)
