The programme helps the economically disadvantaged earn a living and self-employed. This scheme replaced the old self-employment scheme on 11/09/1995 to help those living below the poverty line. This will allow the less fortunate to work as hawkers, vegetable sellers, carpenters, etc.

Terms and Conditions
- Rajdarshree should be between the ages of 16 year and 60.year
- People from Scheduled Castes have an annual limit of 120,000 in rural areas and 150,000 in urban areas.
- The most backward castes in the Scheduled Castes have no income ceiling.
- The benefit is not recoverable under this scheme if the recipient or any family members of the beneficiary have previously received it under this scheme.
